Megan Roden
DIRECTOR
Mrs. Megan has been married to her husband Kenny for over fourteen years. They have three kiddos together (Ry, Jake, Rusti).
Mrs. Megan graduated from Texas A&M University with a Bachelor’s degree in ELA/SS 4th-8th grade, and a Master’s Degree from Lamar University in Educational Administration.
She has had numerous years of experience teaching kiddos in public school, numerous teaching at MDO, and is currently in her sixth year as the Director at JAM.
She loves the Lord and enjoys serving Him!
A Word From Our Director...
JAM was once just an idea on a piece of paper that the Lord turned into a reality!!!
It has truly been a joy and humbling experience to watch the Lord grow JAM! We have the best teachers & such a wonderful group of kiddos/parents at JAM!
All of our teachers love the Lord and love their students. JAM’s goal isn’t to grow large in number- our goal is to grow towards the Lord!!!
We have a very small town family feel at our school where all the teachers know every child that walks through the door regardless of what class he/she is in!
I encourage anyone thinking about putting their child in an MDO program to come check us out!
MONICA IVESTER
3 YR OLD ASSISTANT
Mrs. Monica has been married to her husband Matthew for over four years! They have two sweet little boys and a baby girl on the way!
Mrs. Monica graduated from the University of Houston with a degree in Exercise Science (Kinesiology). Mrs. Monica has served as a camp counselor and babysit for years before having her own kids.
She loves cooking/baking, working out, and dancing with her kiddos! We are so excited to have Mrs. Monica on staff at JAM for the first time this year!
BRENDA YOUNG
2 yR old Assistant
Mrs. Brenda is starting her sixth year at JAM! She was married to the love of her life for thirty-two years. She has three children and seven grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
She has massive amounts of experience with children throughout the years. She has taught numerous Sunday school classes ranging from babies to first graders.
She has babysat her nieces/nephews/grandchildren over the years and now her great-grandchildren. She has over forty-five years of experience in teaching God’s Word to littles.
Mrs. Brenda enjoys reading & babysitting her great grand kids while their parents’ work! We love Mrs. Brenda
TERESA FARIES
3 YEAR OLD TEACHER
Mrs. Teresa has taught in the public school system for twenty-three years! She taught pre-k, 2nd grade, 3rd grade, Art, and GT.
She has taught Sunday school classes and Vacation Bible school for many years. She has six grand kiddos that keep her busy! She has been married to her husband Mr. Todd for over thirty-eight years.
She and her husband have two daughters (one teaches at JAM). Mrs. Teresa received her Bachelor’s of Education in grades 1-8 from Sam Houston State University. Mrs. Teresa loves painting and spending time with her grandkids. We love Mrs. Teresa!
AMY NICHOLS
FLOATER / JAM ASSISTANT
Mrs. Amy has been married to her husband Mr. Andy for over nineteen years.
They have four kiddos named Cooper, Caroline, Reagan, and Riley. Mrs. Amy has her Nursing Degree and associate’s degree in marketing management.
She has volunteered at her church for numerous years and served in areas of helping/teaching children. Mrs. Amy is starting her second year at JAM and can pretty much do anything needed by any teacher/director anywhere!
She is multitalented! She loves reading, volunteering, and crafting.
TAMARAH FASSINO
3 YEAR OLD TEACHER
Mrs. Tamarah is in her sixth year of teaching three year olds at JAM. She has been an MDO teacher for a total of nine years.
Mrs. Tamarah graduated from LSU with a bachelor’s degree in HR Management. She then went on to receive her Masters in Accounting from the University of Texas Dallas.
Mrs. Tamarah has been married to her husband Mr. Nick for over twenty years and they share Domenic (13) and Tess (10) together.
Mrs. Tamarah has been a Bible class teacher and VBS teacher for years! Mrs. Tamarah loves reading & watching her kiddos play sports. We love Mrs. Tamarah!
SARAH BROWN
TADPOLES' CLASS ASSISTANT
Mrs. Sarah has been married to Mr. Travis for twenty-three years. They share two boys named Ethan and Dylan.
She served as a Children’s Director at a former congregation before moving to Texas. She has taught numerous children’s Bible classes over the years and has one of the most blessed jobs of being married to a youth minister!
She faithfully helps him serve the teens at our congregation each week. Mrs. Sarah enjoys gardening and watching Sci-fi/thriller movies! We love Mrs. Sarah!
NICOLE STEELHAMMER
2 YEAR OLD TEACHER
Mrs. Nicole is starting her fifth year as a two-year-old teacher at JAM. She served for over 35 years in the preschool setting mainly teaching twos!
Mrs. Nicole has worked at VBS and taught Sunday school for numerous years. She has held her CDA degree for nine years.
She has been married to her husband Bill for over thirty-four years. She and her husband have four children and one grandchild.
Mrs. Nicole enjoys spending time with her granddaughter Scarlet! We love Mrs. Nicole!
KATELYN ANDERSON
3 YEAR OLD ASSISTANT
Mrs. Katelyn was a scientist for many years before she came to us at JAM! She has her degree from Texas A&M Galveston in Marine Biology!
She shares two children with her husband Lance, and they have been married for over thirteen years. She has taught children’s Bible classes for over ten years, been a kid’s Church camp counselor for over ten years as well, and she is going into her fourth year at JAM MDO!
Mrs. Katelyn loves reading, camping, baking, and all things TEXAS! We love Mrs. Katelyn!
TRICIA FIKES
PRE-KINDERGARTEN
Mrs. Tricia Fikes has been married to Mr. Wes for over twenty years. They are the proud parents of two boys named Sam & Micah.
Mrs. Tricia received her bachelor’s of Elementary Education Degree from Abilene Christian University. She was a public-school elementary teacher for ten years (2nd & 3rd grade), and served as a Children’s director at Impact Church of Christ, and continues to serve as a Sunday school teacher at Spring Creek.
This is Mrs. Tricia’s second year at JAM and we LOVE her! Mrs. Tricia loves camping and spending time with her family for fun!
MARYILYN WISDOM
3 YEAR OLD ASSISTANT
Mrs. Marilyn is new to the crew this year! She is a grandmother to two of our sweet little JAM students!
She attended college classes at Lone Star Community College and San Jacinto Jr. College. She has grandmotherly skills (which we all know are the best skills there are), taught at the Joy School MDO as well as Northwest Bible church MDO.
She loves scrapbooking and diamond art! We are looking forward to working with Mrs. Marilyn this year at JAM!
SARAH HIRSCH
PRE-KINDERGARTEN
Mrs. Sarah has been married to Mr. Allyn for over fifteen years. They have two precious kiddos named Claire (10) and Logan (8).
Mrs. Sarah received her Bachelor’s of Psychology from Sam Houston State University. She worked as a behavioral analyst with special needs children for over eleven years and has served as a Sunday school teacher for many years.
This is Mrs. Sarah’s sixth year at JAM! We love Mrs. Sarah! Mrs. Sarah likes to read, hike, and garden for fun.
KAREY HUDSON
TADPOLES (OLDER 1'S & YOUNG 2'S)
Mrs. Karey has been married for over thirty-seven years to her husband Rusty. Together they have two married sons and four grandchildren.
Mrs. Karey is in her second-year teaching at JAM and she has taught Bible classes for years. Mrs. Karey has over ten years of experience as a Boy Scout leader and over ten years of volunteering at Leadership Camp.
Mrs. Karey enjoys quilting, reading, baking (especially decorating sugar cookies). We love Mrs. Karey!
LINDSEY ZIPOY
PRE-KINDERGARTEN
Mrs. Lindsey has been married to Mr. Josh for over nine years. Together they have FOUR BOYS (Jax, Lane, Jace, Laken).
Mrs. Lindsey received her Bachelor’s degree from Tarleton State University with her degree in Math 4th-8th grades.
Mrs. Lindsey has taught 8th grade Algebra for two years and 5th grade math for three years. She has volunteered as a Sunday school teacher for years!
She loves spending time with her family and crafting! We love Mrs. Lindsey!
RAF BRADLEY
1 YEAR OLD TEACHER
Mrs. Raf has been married to Mr. Allen for over fourteen years. They share three boys and a sweet little girl together.
Mrs. Raf has taught numerous years of Sunday school and homeschools all four of her kiddos!!!
She has recently become a published children’s author!!! You can buy her book on Amazon (It’s called Hello Home)!
Mrs. Raf subbed at JAM last year and decided this year to join our team! We love Mrs. Raf! Mrs. Raf enjoys reading, painting, and music.
DIANA BROOKS
1 YEAR OLD TEACHER
Mrs. Diana has been married to her husband Mr. David for seven years. They share three boys together!
Mrs. Diana is on her second year at JAM! When she isn’t working at JAM she has a baking business and makes the most beautiful cakes/cookies!
She loves running her bakery, homeschooling her kiddos, reading, cross fit, and crafting! We love Mrs. Diana!
