Megan Roden
DIRECTOR
Mrs. Megan obtained her bachelor’s degree from Texas A&M as well as a Master’s Degree from Lamar University. She has taught several years in the public school system as well as Mother’s Day Out Programs.
She and her husband Kenny are celebrating their tenth anniversary this year, and have been blessed with three children. Mrs. Megan is honored and humbled to have the opportunity to help care for all the kiddos at JAM alongside the great staff whom she also gets to call friends. Mrs. Megan loves being with her family, but most of all she loves the Lord and serving Him.
A Word From Our Director...
JAM was once just an idea on a piece of paper that the Lord turned into a reality!!!
It has truly been a joy and humbling experience to watch the Lord grow JAM! We have the best teachers & such a wonderful group of kiddos/parents at JAM!
All of our teachers love the Lord and love their students. JAM’s goal isn’t to grow large in number- our goal is to grow towards the Lord!!!
We have a very small town family feel at our school where all the teachers know every child that walks through the door regardless of what class he/she is in!
I encourage anyone thinking about putting their child in an MDO program to come check us out!
BRENDA HANLEY
2 YR OLD ASSISTANT
Mrs. Brenda is a two year old assistant at JAM! She has four children, two of which are twins!
She has worked numerous jobs including managing a dental office as well as being a preacher’s wife for over thirty years.
She has four grandkids ranging from nine until eighteen. She has taught multiple Bible classes over the years!
She loves trying new restaurants and traveling!
BRENDA YOUNG
2 yR old Assistant
Ms. Brenda was married to her husband for thirty three years before he went on to be with the Lord. She has three children, seven grandchildren, and five great grandkids.
She worked at a paper company for many years before moving on to granite countertops, then a coffee company! She has taught over forty years of Bible classes!
She keeps her great grandkids during the week when she isn’t at JAM. She loves being with her grandkids and going camping!
CARLA BUTTLER
PRE-K ASSISTANT
Mrs. Carla has been married to her husband Jared for over twenty five years and together they have two children together!
She has her bachelor’s degree from Texas A&M in Business. Mrs. Carla has been a pre-k teacher for nineteen years. She loves camping, shopping, and traveling!
AMY NICHOLS
Jane Of All Trades
Mrs. Amy is our floater and “does it all” lady!
She has been married to her husband for over nineteen years, and together they have four children!
She has her associates in Marketing management and received her registered degree in nursing! Mrs. Amy has lots of experience with children including leading Bible studies for 5th graders and kindergarten.
She loves reading, crafts, volunteering at the Elementary School and church!
TAMARAH FASSINO
3 YEAR OLD TEACHER
Mrs. Tamarah has been married to Mr. Nick for almost twenty years! Together they have two children; Domenic and Tess.
Mrs. Tamarah received her bachelor’s in HR and her masters in Accounting. She worked as an accountant for years at Enterprise and now helps run the Fassino Group with her husband!
She has taught children at several MDO’ s for the last nine years! She also teaches Bible classes to kids of all ages! Mrs. Tamarah loves to read, shop, watch her children play sports, and teach Jazzercise!
SARAH BROWN
2 YEAR OLD ASSISTANT
Mrs. Sarah has been married to Mr. Travis (Spring Creek Church of Christ’s youth minister) for over twenty two years!
Together, they have two boys named Ethan and Dylan! Mrs. Sarah has been a “Jane of all trades” working as a housewife, travel agent, chiropractic assistant, and multiple positions at Lowes.
She has been a youth minister’s wife for over twenty two years and has taught numerous Bible classes! She loves being outside and gardening!
NICOLE STEELHAMMER
2 YEAR OLD TEACHER
Mrs. Nicole has been married to her husband Bill for over thirty three years. Together they have four grown children!
She is Nona to a special little girl, whom she loves taking care of when she isn’t at JAM! She obtained her CDA license years ago and has enjoyed teaching children for over thirty five years!
She has been a two year old teacher for most of those years and has taught several music classes during that time. Her favorite thing to do is to take her granddaughter to the park!
KATELYN ANDERSON
3 YEAR OLD ASSISTANT
Mrs. Katelyn has been married for for ten years. She and her husband have two sweet kids that are ages 5 and 22 months.
Katelyn received her marine biology degree from Texas A&M at Galveston, and worked as a scientist. After having children, Katelyn stays at home to care for them.
She has volunteered as a counselor and teacher with the Leadership Camp for youth for 10 years. She helps teach the 0-2 year old Bible class at Spring Creek Church of Christ. Katelyn enjoys reading, Church activities, and family time.
TRICIA FIKES
PRE-KINDERGARTEN
Mrs. Tricia has been married to her husband Wes for twenty years! They have two kiddos and enjoy camping together.
Mrs. Tricia got her degree from Abilene Christian University in Elementary Education . She has taught multiple years in second and third grade. She received Teacher of the Year for Tomball in 2023!
She has taught multiple Bible classes, VBS, Church camps, and was the Children’s director for Impact Church for three years. Mrs. Tricia loves being with her family, camping, and hanging with friends!
LACEY DERRINGTON
1 Year Old Teacher
Mrs. Lacey has been married to her husband Joe for seventeen years and have three kiddos.
Mrs. Lacey has her Bachelor’s degree in Biomedical Science as well as a Master’s Degree in Public Health. She worked for ten years for M.D. Anderson Cancer center before staying home with her children.
Mrs. Lacey has subbed and taught MDO in the past. She loves crafting, bargain shopping, and playing outside.
SARAH HIRSCH
PRE-KINDERGARTEN
Mrs. Sarah has been married to her husband Allyn for fifteen years. Together they have two children named Claire and Logan.
Mrs. Sarah graduated from Sam Houston State University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology. She then worked as a behavioral analyst for Lonestar ABA from 2013-2018.
She has been teaching pre-kinder at JAM for the last four years! Mrs. Sarah has taught numerous Bible classes starting when she was only fifteen. She has taught from ages two up to High School and is currently the 1st-2nd grade Bible class teacher at her congregation.
Mrs. Sarah enjoys family game/movie night with her family and being outside! She enjoys hiking and reading when she has time!
KAREY HUDSON
2 YEAR OLD Teacher
LINDSEY ZIPOY
PRE-KINDERGARTEN
Mrs. Lindsey has been married to her husband Mr. Josh for nine years. Together they have four boys.
Mrs. Lindsey got her Bachelor’s degree in Education in Math 4th-8th grade. She has taught 8th grade Algebra and 5th grade Math for many years.
She is currently helping in her church nursery and VBS coordinator! Mrs. Lindsey has been teaching at JAM for several years, but her real job is mom to four handsome boys!
Mrs. Lindsey owns a successful shirt company, and enjoys making crafts as well as using her bridal/special occasion makeup certification from time to time!
TRICIA ANDERSON
2 YEAR OLD TEACHER
She has her Bachelor’s Degree in Education and a minor in English. She taught for thirty two years before retiring!
Mrs. Tricia has taught Bible classes to young children since she was ten years old. She loves being outside, walking, hiking, swimming, and singing.
TAMMY DECKER
3 YEAR OLD TEACHER
Mrs. Tammy Decker has been married to her husband Lance for over forty one years.
She has her associates degree and has worked in accounts payable and was President of Wireless Innovations.
She has taught Bible classes to littles children since she was a teenager! Mrs. Tammy has worked at JAM for the last five years.
She enjoys Indy Car races, going to the beach, and spending time with grandkids.
DIANA BROOKS
3 YEAR OLD ASSISTANT
Mrs. Diana Brooks has been married to her husband David for six years.
She has three children and has her food license. She owns a Baking business and makes wonderful desserts for many people.
She also worked in sales (oil and gas) for over ten years. She has taught children in Awana, helped in children’s ministry, and homeschools her son.
She enjoys sleeping, reading, and spending time with her children.
ABIGAIL HUDSON
Mrs. Abigail married her husband last year in January of 2023. She is so excited to be pregnant with their first child due this upcoming September 2024.
She received her cosmetology license and is a hairdresser at Southern Pineapple in Tomball! Mrs. Abigail has been babysitting children since she was small (she has babysat numerous teachers and parents’ kiddos at JAM!)
She has also taught Bible classes for numerous years! She enjoys spending time with her husband, reading, and hiking!
